Welcome to Hope After Miscarriage - IVF

Hello, and welcome.

If you have found this site, then you or someone you love is likely to have been affected by miscarriage.
You are very welcome here – and I am very sorry for your loss.

This is my personal account of miscarriage, which became Recurrent Pregnancy Loss (RPL), and a detailed log of our attempt to have a baby with the help of egg donation.

When I began this blog (June 2016) I already had six miscarriages and one unsuccessful IVF treatment with PGS (Pre-implantation Genetic Screening) using my own eggs. My partner David and I made the decision to try one more time, but this time using an egg donor. You can follow this story at the IVF using an Egg Donor category of posts.

David has also written some posts recounting his own experiences, thoughts and feelings, and giving the male perspective. These posts can be found under David’s Blog.

Throughout the site are references to books, articles, websites, and other links which I found interesting or informative. There have also been particular news stories in the media which caught my eye and certain documentaries which made a particular impact on me. Anything that I thought might also be of interest to others, and other miscellaneous (but relevant) data or discussion, are collected into a series of posts under Other Information & Resources.

This site may not be for everyone. I do not sugar the pill, but I do aim to be as honest as possible.
Please also take a moment to read my Disclaimer notice.

Thank you,
Saron.
